Description
Part 1 of 2 drawings done for a commissioner on gaia. :] This one is finished and has been approved, the other I've got to color but will then be uploading as well.This is Artemis, Goddess of the moon, the hunt, and virgins, etc. This particular version of her belongs to Dalien Fae on gaia, so obviously you may not use this image. ;]

I dont know if anyone pointed this out, but Artemis has red hair. It's actually auburn but what ever. I like the picture though its the only one ive found that captures what i believe to be Artemis. Also her eyes say i'm a good girl. To me Artemis's eyes and facial features should say, "Try me, I dare ya." Other wise its good

you've achieved a really beautiful soft shading on this one. I know it's not your design, but i personally prefer Artemis with brunette hair rather than the blond of her brother.. but that's just me.

Hmm, I know what you mean. This isn't how I traditionally imagine Artemis. Being the moon goddess, a color pallette more like the moon/night sky would have been fitting [pale skin, blue eyes, brown hair] but I'm sorta glad it was this way. I needed to practice coloring tan skin, and I think this version of her is really beautiful and distinct. oh, i think the colour palatte looks great, don't get me wrong. I just associate the shining golden theme with her brother Apollo, and I like the contrasting pairs theme. But as a piece of art - regardless of design and interpretation of ancient Greek gods - it came out really beautifully. i love the soft, smooth shading you affected on this one.
