I was so nervous the last two days about my flight [which is tomorrow.. <.<] that I couldn't focus on anything at all except this. :] I randomly felt like coloring. I'm glad I did, because this came out the best semi-realism I've ever done. No references were used. :]This is Jalene Hemm, or was meant to be. Its the only rendition of her in semi-realism, soo, who knows? But I tried to match it to my image of her.
Her hair is lightened though, and she's really reddish. Hence "summer colors" when hair gets lighter and skin gets more colorful. :]
I'm happy with this, although it was originally a lot bigger and included her legs.. I wanted to be finished with it before I left, or it would drive me insane.
The original sketch was done maybe even a year ago, but underwent extreme changes. <3

I love the heavy brush work here... THe colours are rich, and the shading and depth of tone in the skin especially is amazing. I looooove her face - chin/cheeks/freckles especially. THe way her body blurs into the sheets is fetching and very nicely done.
Her hair is a bit stark compared to the smoothness of the rest of the shading, and ends a little abruptly, but it works with the way the pillow is sculpted out of colour and the background plain.
This is my fave piece you've done for colours yet.
