...To make up for the pink and girly unicorn, I made a manly metal unicorn. Booyah.This piece has ink, watercolor, interference acrylic, gel pen, Swarovski crystals, and a tiger's eye stone, plus assorted watch guts.

As always, it depends on your source. Β I, personally, never decided. Β I always considered unicorns with wings to be just that - unicorns with wings. Β The term "alicorn" has encountered semantic drift of late; it used to mean the horn of the unicorn itself, but now it seems to be referring to a unicorn with wings. Β So "alicorn" is probably the colloquially correct term. Β

LOL - As much as I like the whole mod steampunk, I haven't done very much art in the genre. This unicorn's design just happened to look like it could work with gears and pins and things like that.

LOL - I hear you. I think I will do a larger version of this kind of critter so that I can incorporate larger and more gears, as well as a more complex design overall. I don't do much in the way of mechanical design, so this was kind of a scary experiment for me.
