A toothbrush? Heh, that's creative. And works quite well, apparently.
Quite stunning piece.. I couldn't do anything like this without the help of a computer. And probably not even if I could use a computer.
But yess, this is very. balanced. ^^ Any idea how long it took to make this?

I love cheezy effects that I can achieve with odd tools like that.
Thank you very much, and I'm glad you like this piece. As I'm primarily a traditional media junkie, I don't know if *I* could manage to do this with a computer.
There's somewhere between 20 and 30 hours in on this project; I worked on it off and on over the last couple of weeks.

Good heavens. I can't think of anything to really say... This is so beautiful and detailed... Well balanced Great job with the toothbrush, too (which sounds really weird...).

As well as I think it did turn out in the scan, it really does hold together better in person. I'll make sure to get you the dates it'll be down in the Thayer building so's you can go see the whole lot of 'em. And vote. You have to vote on your favorites from all of us DST artgeeks.

Hehe, if it's any time after March 13 I'll be seeing it almost daily, 'cause Thayer is about to become my second home

Wicked! The work will be down in the lower level lobby where the lunch tables are, I believe. Thayer is such a nifty building anyway.

Wow! It must have taken a lot of patience to cut out the three figures! I think the dragon is my favorite.

Thanks! Glad you like it!
It was an unmitigated pain the the butt to cut those figures out... I think I went through three X-acto blades. But I absolutely had to have the cut-out effect and in the end I'm glad that I went to all the effort to cut out all those little details.

LOL - I have always loved the "to create instant starfield, apply toothbrush spatter" effect. I *look* for opportunites to use it, though they don't seem to come up very often. Thanks!

LOL - Thank you. I would never claim perfection on any of this; it was mostly experimental as far as using the images the way I did, cutting them out, using the shiny bits, and all that stuff. I think it is *successful*, but I also think that the ideas and techniques could be improved upon. But I always think that, so it's okay.
