This is one of five illustrations for the RenFest anthology that Hadley Rille Books will be publishing in August.This particular illo is for a story by Camille Alexa. I don't have the title for her story just yet.

I don't know where to begin for this one. o_O The inking is amazing. I love how you got the cat to glow with INK. And the folds are wonderfully done, too. Fantastic work!

I actually had to think about how to get the glowy effect to work right when I was planning to use so much black. It turned out that bloody pointilism saved the day - but with such a small section being full of dots, it wasn't so terribly tedious.

Wow. Didn't even have to think twice about +faving this one. The detail in the inkwork is above your norm (which alone is impressive), and I know how difficult it is to pull off an overall dark piece while working around highlights. Well done!

It was indeed challenging to pull off all that dark - if I'd really been thinking ahead, I would have tried scratchboard with this one. However, it *did* turn out close to the way I'd envisioned, so I'm not complaining *too* much.
