I'm using the DecoColor brand, and yes, they really do color over almost anything. The Prismacolor metallics work all right, too, but I can't always find them and they're also a bit more expensive.

Good to know! Thanks! Have you used them in white? It seems every white gel or paint pen I've bought seems to almost fully absorb into the paper and leaves little evidence it was there...

Yeah, I have that problem with the white pens. It has to be the last thing to go on the project, even after spray-fixing. I can't find the Sakura ones that everyone else seems to be using; apparently those white pens have thicker pigment or something. On the whole, I prefer the gold and silver anyway. I still need to figure out how best to use the white paint pens that I have.

Hmmmm... I have a couple of the Sakura Pen-touch pens (on dickblick.com or maybe Pat Catan's... I can't remember Xo), but they do the same thing... they do seem to build up, like you can apply multiple layers and then they're a bit more white. But they're still not as white as something like acrylic paint or gouache. That dick blick website has a handful of sakura pens though, so maybe the one I have isn't the good one LOL

Thank you. It's always a struggle to get such densely detailed things to show up clearly. Contrasting light and dark colors does the trick nicely, and I love these different shades of blue together. I'm just glad it worked!

Gorgeous! I am a fan of using mostly dark colors and throwing in some bright highlights and whatnots, so this dragon (to me) is especially beautiful!

It is soo pretty, looking at your art it looks easy, but when you actually try to draw the small details I'd probably lose patience, or it'd take me a long time to finish.

What you *don't* see is me out here in the real world, cursing and griping about my sore drawing arm, hand, and fingers. It's not easy. Not in the least. It takes quite a bit of time and effort to pull off a piece with so much detail. The trick, I've learned, is to spread it out over several days - or at the very least to *stop* when my hand starts to hurt.
