I am a compulsive researcher. If Iām going to bother to believe in something, especially something major, such as whether abortion or the death penalty is morally acceptable or not, you can bet your ass that I believe what I believe based on the most solid evidence I could find, rather than on emotional reasons, or whether the church Iām affiliated with supports or rejects a certain stance. I'm pro-choice by far, but maybe one day the majority of people will be so, too. Every person should let their voice be heard ^.^ And pro-life forces a woman to be silent and possibly ruin her mentally/physically/financially.

An excellent point.
Another point to ponder is the fact that abortion is the only instance presently where in someone's humanity, or "personhood" if you will, is based entirely upon the opinion of another person. Unborn human X has 2 possibilities for a future:
!. If his mother declares she wants him, he is a person. As such, should he leave the womb too early for survival, he is mourned and given a burial or cremation.
If another human causes his death, such as in the case where unborn human X dies along with his mother if she is murdered, the murderer is charged with killing 2 people .
2. If his mother SAYS he is NOT a person, he can be killed, removed, and tossed in a medical trash container, unmourned.
These two outcomes are determined solely on whether unborn human X's mother SAYS he is a person or not.
The last time such a thing was considered acceptable was in Nazi Germany, wherein groups of people were, in the opinion of the government, human or sub-human ( "Untermenschen").
Jews, homosexuals, Gypsies, those of Slavic descent, etc., were designated sub-human, and therefore it was permissable to gas them or shoot them with impunity.
The humanity of those groups, and whether they had a right to live, was based solely on the opinion of another person/persons.
Whether or not someone is a person should not be a matter of opinion.
