Depends on the size I suppose. Baby ones are really cute.
I heard you can't tame them, but someone told me that they had one from a baby size for years let it grow up and now it won't bite anyone.
So, that's pretty cool.
Where I'm from everybody likes to eat them and I'm like, just eat a cow it's easier.

"Always" grumpy? I have a snapper who was captive-born-and-raised, and he's every bit as friendly as a box turtle!

How old/big is he?
I've only seen grumpy ones.

His shell is only about nine inches long(I'm not including neck length), so he's probably only a few years old. But he's actually very sweet-tempered; he was a rescue case, so I don't know his exact history, but we know from his demeanor and species that he was a pet that some yahoo decided to release into the wild. To be honest, I've only had him for a month. We rescued him off the side of the road a few weeks ago. But he really is the sweetest thing; it's kinda fun to watch him race across the living room floor at top speed. Snappers can go fast! He's very docile and friendly, we just need to keep the cats away from him.
