I am extremely pleased with how Eevee turned out.. the background, not so much. It's sketchy on purpose though.Probably went on to evolve into this Umbreon.

Holy crap; this is the most freaking ADORABLE Eevee I've ever seen. xD I love this piece so much! The simplicity of the background fits. The detail of the fur is amazing, and I LOVE that bushy tail! The anatomy is just spot on -- one of my favourite pieces I've seen this year. xDD
If I could favourite this twice, trust me, I would. xD

I really like that you based your eevee after a combination of several animals instead of basing it solely off of a cat or a fox. I think that's a major pitfall a lot of people designing realistic pokemon fall into. I love this little guys pose and his curious expression. :3

I usually dont like Eevee but rather love her evolved forms. I love this though. She loves just like a real animal and very cute. Nice taking a pokemon and making it seem more realistic (and I am refering to its smelling the fruit rather than it looks as that simple action makes it all seem so real.)

Aww, that is like, the cutest eevee ever. Which is cool because it's actually realistically cute instead of just cartoonishly cute. I can totally imagine that this is how an eevee would look in real life. I love the details in the fur, especially the fluffy tail. The face is very nicely done too, and I really like its curious expression.
I don't think there's much of a problem with the background. Sure the grass is un-detailed but the tree looks great . . . and I'm too busy staring at the eevee to look much at the grass anyway.

Thanks so much X3 I actually never liked Eevee itself a whole lot until I saw how it was drawn in Electric Tale of Pikachu, the official art gives it a rather oversized forehead =S So I wanted to try to get its proportions as close to official as possible while still making it cute.

Yeah, Eevee does have quite an enormous head in the official art.
Also, one of my friends once said that what he didn't like about Eevee was that its face looks like a human anime face. I hadn't ever thought of that but once he said it I could sort of see what he meant. Your version seems to improve that by giving it more of a snout, and eyes on the side rather than the front of the face.
