Wow, I actually really like how this one turned out. Raichu's the only chu I like, although I may try a realistic Pikachu and Pichu later just to make them look better XPAnyway, I imagine a Raichu as being built like a wallaby/hare/jerboa thing.. I've seen it drawn as a mouse several times, but come on, Mouse PokΓ©mon is a (vague) description. After all, nobody thinks Blastoise is actually a Shellfish, do they? Its anatomy in official art doesn't suggest a mouselike critter at all.
The tail is also a conundrum, took me a while to figure out how to make it look like Raichu's tail and be believable, I've seen it rendered as a tuft of hair before but that seems like a cop-out to me. So here, the end of the tail is mostly made of cartilage, I figure the "bolt" part is mainly for display as it differs between male and female.

i dunno what's up with blastoise being a "shellfish" pokemon and you're right, i don't think anyone of us actually thinks that REPTILE is a fish! however, we that doesn't mean the same hold true for raichu. he does look like a mouse, especially the kangaroo rat, but you're free to interpret however you want. i think your version's very grounded and i like it a lot, reminds me of a jack rabbit.

Love those eyes! And great translation on its ears! The tail looks a little odd, but it's cool that you translated it exactly.
This one looks much more like a marsupial than any rodent, but the 'chu family really doesn't look like rodents, do they? All rodents have long, squared front teeth, and that family doesn't. So, no problem if it isn't a rodent, and certainly if it isn't a mouse, because its classification is only "mouse" because the animal it was really based on doesn't have a name people would recognise.
I love the texture on the tail, it looks so real, despite not being furry. Speaking of the fur, great job on it. This one looks more wild, and less snugglable, which I find cool. And I like how the fur sort of covers the fingers to give it raichu's "handless" look.
Your pokemon are great, they just run off the page.

Nice design! Actually, Raichu are based on the kangaroo rat, so making one resemble a kangaroo or wallaby wouldn't be far from accurate. Great job.

Maybe if the tail looked a little furrier like his body, it would look better.
Overall, I think it looks great. I never really thought about Raichu being a mouse either. More like a rabbit with on it's hind legs. Which would be more like wallaby, like you said.

A big burly Raichu, compared to the Pikachu and Pichu. it's good that you tried to make it look believable. The tufts at the bottom of the ears are nice.

That's really great, I like your version of a realistic raichu. 
I think you're right that Raichu doesn't resemble a mouse that much, especially with the big feet. The wallaby/hare/jerboa concept was a good idea. It also kind of reminds me of a numbat . . . possibly because of the stripes.
