Uh-oh.
They refer to the sleep/wake cycle as day/night. It's like using words you don't really know the meaning of. "Night" is the general sleeping time and "day" is the usual awake time. Means nothing else, or so they think.

So the Sparkclaws are working and what do the Longwing apart of guarding and rule? And what are they eating in the caverns?

In the caverns, the dragons farm specialized livestock underground to keep the empire fed. Other than that, the enlightened Longwings (those who know of the surface) farm things on the surface to keep up with demand. Since the underground and aboveground livestock taste/look basically the same, there's no questioning it.
Sparkclaws work all the manual labor in the caverns; the grunt work, so to speak. Mining, smelting, sometimes guarding less important areas, etc.
Longwings work the service sector; so they are merchants, shopkeepers, resturaunt owners, etc.

Oh I see. Your world is very interesting. What for livestock would be stay alive in dark caverns? Pigs, or something like that? What do they eat? Mushrooms?

The world itself is a different planet entirely from Earth, so it's likely animals that would look alien to us; squat and fat mammals of some description that don't move much and therefore don't really require much food to keep running. They'd probably eat some sort of cultivated variation of moss that has been bred to grow much larger than original moss over time. (Sort of like corn, which was originally the size of our fingers)

Poor Rak... well, poor any Sparkwing, really. XD Shame about Karissa's unwillingness to go outside her comfort zone and accompany him to the unknown, although I guess being gravid might make her feel less secure and unwilling to take risks, or something.
It's easy to see who's the boss here, with the towering dominant/bowing submissive kind of body language in the last panel.
