Edit: Added the mysteriously disappearing hatchling
Got side-tracked building a PC. I'm not kidding...
Anyway, I had this finished days ago but only got to upload it now. Tried a more fluid transition on the bottom panel. This page may look different because I drew it entirely on my tablet. I may sound different writing this description because it's almost midnight and I'm dead tired <.<

A random light in a tunnel always seems suspicious.

..oops. I entirely forgot about that. XD I'll have to re-add that, thanks for catching it! I don't know how I manage to forget her hatchling so often.
Go young children, go!

Well, the hatchling is really small, so I understand that it's easy to forget xD

Or magic! Which to them is basically the same! (Imagine living underground all your life to suddenly see a gigantic burning ball of warmth and light in the sky?)
Haha yes! <3 It's my first build and it seems to work perfectly except for a few bumps that can be smoothed out.

Ouch, underground for that long? -Shivers-
Awesome! What did you get? What games do you play? And what are these bumps?

Yep, that long indeed. I'd personally go insane but if you don't know there's anything different.. Iunno
The parts you can see here - pcpartpicker.com/p/DjhjBm except for the monitor which is actually different (it's a 23" now). The mouse is so old and derpy looking compared to the rest because it's the exact mouse I use now and it's never failed me. I'd just swap around my current mouse but the USB port it's in in this laptop is broken and I don't want to risk removing it and possibly breaking it when plugging it back in so..
The bumps are that for some reason no HDMI signal was being output while VGA worked fine but my friends have suggested and I'm assuming it's so, that the BIOS just can't output or recognise HDMI signals. Don't have an operating system just yet but it should arrive tomorrow. The CPU fan was also dead on arrival but honestly I expected that considering the reviews so I have a replacement on the way, which is the one shown on that list. ^^
Edit: Oh and I usually play games like Payday 2, Planetside 2, Red Orchestra 2 (lots of 2's xD), Istaria: Chronicles of the Gifted, Minecraft, Primal Carnage, etc. Just lots of varied games. ^^

Oh I see. Odd. But, if there is one, try DVI or Displayport over HDMI, and defenitely VGA.
The PC itself doesnt seem too bad. Though its a bit of an odd choice (Unless you do a lot of video rendering) to use an i7, and a relatively weak GPU (Especially for the CPU you have) if you are playing lots of games.
Also, Id probably upgrade that monitor sometime in the future. Not only is it not 1920x1080, but its also (Like 95% of monitors) a horrid TN-panel type. If you are an artist or anything among the lines of caring about colour accuracy, you should get an IPS monitor. Huuuge difference between colours.
Also, yay for Windows 7. No surfpad OSs here!
I used to play a bit of PlanetSide 2, but I didnt get hooked due to the extremely long grinds to unlock anything. A good game appart from that though. Red Orchestra 2 is fun, but hard!

I did get the HDMI working, just had to use VGA until the OS was installed for some reason or another
Well my GPU has devoured any game I've thrown at it on high settings without dropping below 40FPS so I can't say I've seen it's relative weakness just yet. But I do in fact do video rendering occasionally, usually quite long videos too, just not super often.
As I said, I've a 1920x1080 LCD monitor now which seems to have the exact same color recognition as my laptop so I'm not honestly complaining here
Windows 7 ftw, I was stuck with 8 for 2 years on my laptop. It was miserable. xD
Yeah, PS2 has lots of grinds and I often take breaks from it, but recently I've been coming back to it. Haven't been on RO2 for a while though now

Well, I guess it depends on how picky you are. I wouldnt go below a GTX 760/Radeon 7850. But then again, I got a kinda weird setup for my desktop too, an old Phenom II x6 with an Asus Radeon 7970 Matrix, lol.
Ah well. You dont know how bad it is until you see a real life side by side comparison. It is really a stunning difference, even between a cheaper IPS panel such as the Dell Ultrasharp series in 1080p and your avarage TN panel. I used to have a good comparison photo which Ive now apperantly lost. Note to self, take new photos as soon as possible.
Windows 8... I had it for half a day on a new laptop, it drove me absolutely insane, even with Classic Shell installed (Which I use on Windows 7 too).
As for myself, it changes a lot, depending on my mood. Recently its been a lot of War Thunder and Terraria, other times its Supreme Commander, DayZ or Minecraft as general examples.
