Why doesn't the hatchling have her fins, markings etc *shot* XD
I wonder how hard it is to talk without chomping down on the hatchling.

It's probably really hard... but it's probably possible. I was going to make her talk something like this: "Come ahn! Ruunn! Neh'rik ih'n't 'oing ish furr nuttin'." as she'd probably talk like that but.. then I realised that's really really hard to read.

So how did Nezrik know that Iyress was planning to escape and decide to help her and somehow intercept her before any other guards, and for that matter how did Nezrik know when to breathe fire when the guard counted to one. Did Iyress say it outloud or something, if thats the case why didnt the guard hear and prep to get ready. If Iyress did somehow plan this, why did she let the hatchie get hurt.
Great comic though, just want to give a minor critque that may or may not be revelant, or something that people would care about

Them nitpicks unfortunately aren't addressed immediately but they are later on, once we actually get deep into the 'why' and 'how' behind all the random stuff that I can and will throw on people at this part. 
Thanks, I do appreciate nitpicks though, as long as they're not ridiculously specific like "why does the hatchling not have her fins, markings, etc?!" because that's just me not putting detail into something that doesn't need detail.

Well, Longwings actually can not breathe fire, but they are venomous - only Sparkclawss can breathe fire, so everyone is extremely surprised except Iyress who apparently knows the guy.

Yeah, that's what they're referring to with "How...?" considering that Longwings can't breathe fire.

I join them in their question as it was stated before that Longwings did not possess any elemental abilities, only poison
