Description
It's quite amazing how localised weather can be. This awesome looking cloud was moving at high speed up from the valley below where the rain was already falling at its heaviest. Up on the hill there was the brightest sunshine! The main city from my area is down there in that valley ...it's a very small city
TECH NOTE: The color was achieved by setting the camera's White Balance to 10000K which would normally only be used for full shade (very blue light). This forced the shadows to look 'normal' while the sunny areas became much warmer.

Wow!! That's one of the best shots on DA. It reminds me of an Inness painting. Splendid.

Awesome photography!!!! Love the yellowish colouring It makes the picture appear like it was painted in the early 1900s.

Wonderful shot. I've always been amazed by the forms clouds can take and the way the sun can play with them.

....and some people wonder where the old masters get the ideas for their paintings. All you have to do is open your eyes and look.

I've faved a few of your shots today, but this is my favourite because of the reflection of the grass on that low cloud, which is very unusual in a photo, and beautiful!

Stunning colours and a beautiful cloud formation.
I really like how the distant rain is sweeping its moment of darkness across the country side.

Thanks! Well, actually none of my pics are HDR. I have tried it for the purpose of comparison ...but my results with the camera control (exposure, white-balance, filters etc) were always so much better.
