Mmm.. I hope you can find it on a map. Could also be listed as Burg Heid (is misspelt that way on google maps for instance) . Anyway it's not in the Black Forest (Schwarzwald) but in the 'Black-Foresty-High-Forest' (Schwarzwaelder Hochwald) and is sort of 150 km or so north-west of the Black Forest. The nearest village to Burg Haid is Lampaden. I don't know how keen you are on finding it, but if you go to google maps, set the main selection to Europe, look for Lampaden, and set the height to 500m.... you can't miss it....

Sorry, no piccies of Black Forest (as yet) but thanks a lot for the nice comment from 'oz', 'down under' (had a peek at your page). Maybe you'll do a bit of visiting this way yourself someday. Many greetings.
