Yet another Vocaloid cosplay from me and definitely not the last XDI had so many little girls come up asking for photos with me in this costume. So cute ~
When I was making this it seemed much more fitted but when it was finished I duno what happened XD maybe cos my sewing machine has been playing up (I've been sewing without it's light all month) and the button holes were going all weird/didn't work properly. Duno~ Hope it still looks alright though ^_^

This is awsome!i plan on cosplaying Aoki to an upcoming event, but im having lots of trouble making her shirt/jacket. can you tell me how you did yours?

Hey! I'm not sure if you've started or finished your Aoki costume but in case you hadn't started yet, I lent my costume to a friend the other week and she got some really good photos of the costume including the back so I'm just sending it to you to see if it will help you at all ^__^

The photos recreate the reference art, but sometimes I find seeing it in real costume helps some more ^__^

It makes perfect sense
But no I didn't use a pattern, I can't read them. If you have a t-shirt that fits, use that as a template to help with sizing etc. In the front, put 2 darts. With the back I made it in two pieces, and just made the seam in the middle like a dart so that it fits at the back a little better too.
As for adding the blue piece on top of that, I kind of guessed where it would sit, pinned it on then tested by wearing it... adjusting as required then fixing the pins. Once you take it off just measure it to make sure it's even and centered and sew it on ^_^

Her wrist band was cut from a sheet of acrylic plastic bought from Spotlight (a local fabric/craft store). It was pretty cheap from memory too. It's held together by (hot) glued on snap fasteners, though the glue wasn't very effective on some of them XD

how did you do the jewel part and the headphones?

Uh these headphones are just temporary until I get time to make them properly. The gem on this one is actually just a tealight candle holder, it was a lucky find last minute before the con. It's held on to the headband by araldite :3
The headband itself is just a plain headband painted green, with the pattern bits being cut out plastic, painted then hot glued to the band.
It was pretty heavy, I couldn't turn my head quickly or tilt it any direction too far as it would fall off... And seeing as the gem was glass I didn't wan that to happen xD
Not sure how I'll remake them at the moment. Next time it will hopefully light up though :3

She does! At first I was a little bitter because her design resembled a genderbent Kaito to me, but I think if I look at her as more of a moe magical girl I can tolerate her more. Her voicebank is really nice, though, that I'll admit! c: However, my favourite v3 so far is IA~

She's so adorable, her voicebank was officially released a couple of weeks ago but her demo has been out for a while. Cutest little voice XD I've seen one of her "live" performances on youtube... she's freaking tiny (15cm) which just adds to the cuteness overload XD
