Various sketchs for futuristic weapons, they mostly use caseless ammunition, I'm quite happy with how the assault rifle with grenade laucher came out, I'm also happy with the 3 sniper rifles.Designs (c) me

That would be kinda pointless, since these weapons are mostly caseless weapons, they work the same way as our current weapons work, except they don't need a brass casing.

They use a special mixture, the mixture is molded under pressure behind the bullet, it's similar to a plastic, when a small eletric discharge is used it explodes prety much like gunpownder, it just doesn't need any casing, making each bullet lighter.

halllaluagh, so do you have an estimate of how long untill these guns are atually deplyed out onto the field?

Considering there's only one company actualy developing a caseless weapon, I would say it will take maybe 30 years or more, that unless a country decides to upgrate their main infantry weapon to a caseless weapon, then it might take around 15 years, or less.
