Description
The ballad of the Shadow Queen: (sung by King Sombra and Twilight Sparkle)(Corrupted Twilight watches herself in a crystal mirror and realizes what has become of her. She sees her former self trapped on the inside. Twilight observes the black crystals forming over her body.)
Twilight:
(Small slower reprise of The Failure song)
I thought I could complete the test, but now I have lost the quest,
-To overcome King Sombra’s tricks/ but I wasn’t prepared for this….
(A deep chilling laughter interrupts Twilights thoughts. Instrumental ballad)
Sombra: My empress of darkness/, my precious jewel
With you by my side/ together we shall rule
We shall let the Royals fall/ and make them feel like fools
For their nightmares will come true….
Twilight: Ever since I was young/ when I saw the rising sun,
I knew it was my destiny…
I would master the mystic arts/ from the power of my heart
And restore the empire’s harmony…
Is all that I’ve learned a lie? An illusion? And why?
I just don’t know what I am anymore….
Sombra: Be patient, my pet. I shall teach you yet

A tall, dark colored mechanical being observes the events on a screen "So the Bearer of Magic has fallen into darkness." he uttered with a sigh as he turned away, "Should I intervene personally with my army, should I the Lord and Master of Shadow aid the light?" he questioned as he turned to a spherical stone "Or is it time for the Toa to awaken once more?" he asked further as he returned to the screen.

Ok..... I'm liking this story, liking the song, liking the character designs, but most of these pics of Twilight (Midnight Shadows) actually scarede the shiz out of me when I first saw them. All in all, this is going to be one of the best Fanfics of all time. This has me intrigued as much as Renew did!

oh, not at all, I don't hate this:
I mean, yeah, it hurts to see this happen, but that's the point of these sort of "fall to darkness" kinds of stories (like Anakin from star wars)
you did well to remix the ballad and the plot progression was good (I understand if this was sort of a passive sort of write, as I'm sure all the ideas you hashed out could have been better developed; but its still a nice fic without me getting technical)
but no: I dont hate it
I mean that things have gone from dangerous, to bad, to "Great, now Equestria is royally screwed because Twilight herself is tainted with hate and intolerance..."
that kind of "gone to hell" I mean it literally in the plot progression
(I think I've made two or three puns/ parallels to cannon mlp ^_^ )

i get the 'gone to hell' thing now, i'm a little rusty at writing cause i am new at fan fics, i just thought it would be interesting to have twilight corrupted and joining the 'darkside' 
and i wanted to give king sombra a more larger developed role instead of just 'raw raw grr, crystal slaves'
right now i dont have anything planned but maybe i might add write more when i find a story.
