Description
A Mitsubishi F-2 with the Japanese Air Self Defense Forces on display at the Yokota Air Base Friendship Festival on 6 September 2014. The F-2 is based on the F-16, with many components being made in Japan. The F-2 has different dimensions than the F-16, being slightly bigger and heavier, but the easiest giveaway is the blue paint scheme.

As a nod to both the F-16's nickname of "Viper", and the famous WWII fighter the Mitsubishi A6M "Zero", the F-2 is known as the "Viper Zero".
