This really did come in handy. I was drawing out one of my characters and was trying to do a braided ponytail for him but I couldn't get a grasp on it so I decided to search for tutorials and this one helped me a great ordeal. Awesome tutorial, it's simple yet very effective. ^^

But do you know how to draw cornrows and two french braids on either side of the head?

Cornrows and french braids are still just braids, so this tutorial still applies. For french braids, just draw the pattern right on the sides of the head. For cornrows, contour the braids over the shape of the skull. Just look at a photo and it should be easy to understand.
