The only problem with the whole sidebar stuff is, that its very limited in what is possible especially with transparency and more complicated to create, than the rainmeter ones...
I personally don't really use rainmeter, its just takes so freaking long to get everything working...

Only option that is not working is "Show Datebar". Changing it doesn't do anything.

I know this response is a little late, but I just installed this gadget on Win7 x64 and had issues at first but it works fully now.
I opened task manager and killed off sidebar
Installed gadget using installer
Manually installed fonts to make sure they were installed
Opened task manager and killed off sidebar again
Got a message it may not have installed correctly
Chose to install using suggested settings
It works great!
Thanks for the awesome date/time gadget and hope this helps anyone else having issues.

It should be a font problem.... do you have the Pricedown font installed!?

will fix "show datebar" soon....

Don't know what happend, i downloaded it again today to give it another go and it is now working fine (exept the show datebar option you already know).
The font was installed the first time, i really don't know what went wrong. Ok, let's forget about it. Here after is my contribution to translate it in Italian and French :

I have a request to improve the gadget. Can you add the possibility to also choose the glow color ?
I would love to have black numbers but white glow.
