This is my test picture for the new Model Contest I've entered for ! I have the lovely Model #11, whom I've named Mystia Bloodgood. She's going to be a Percy Jackson and the Olympians OC!
Mystia is a daughter of Hecate, the Goddess of Magic and Shadows and stuff. Her father was from a rich, aristocratic family in Great Britain, hence why she'd be a model and dress so nicely. Her birth caused quite a stir in her father's family, since obviously she would have to have been born out of wedlock (a travesty!), especially when her father was supposed to be courting a young Lady (notice the capital L) from a high-ranking Noblemen family. Her appearance alone nearly caused a riot; a fair-skinned man having a dark-skinned, BLUE-haired daughter???? Unheard of!!! Despite the scandal surrounding Mystia's birth, her father loved her very much and accepted being forever known as the "black sheep" of his family if it meant getting to keep her. With him guiding her, Mystia live a fairly normal childhood (besides some magical sneezes and telepathic temper-tantrums, but every Demigod's got something), at least until age 13. Her father knew that his precious little girl was different from normal people (he'd been able to see through the Mist, a trait which drew Hecate to him in the first place), and knew that as she grew older, she'd attract ever-increasing danger, so he organized his inherent wealth and moved his small family to America, where Hecate had mentioned there was a Camp his daughter could go to (she had, surprisingly, kept semi-in touch, not wanting her daughter to die an early death). They moved to a fairly-luxurious penthouse suite in Manhattan, and quickly found the Camp Hecate had mentioned. For the next two years, everything went smoothly; Mystia learned magic and soon reached a high level of proficiency, while her father worked to set things up for her in the real world, including a college fund and inheritance. Tragically, on the day of her 15th birthday, Mystia and her father went out for ice cream to celebrate when they were attacked by several monsters. Mystia fended them off (along with a couple of nearby half-bloods from Hephaestus; the unintentional gathering of demigods may have caused the incident), but in the process her father was seriously wounded. He was rushed to a nearby hospital with severe injuries to his head and torso. He was put into a coma and... hasn't woken since. There were enough funds to set him up in the penthouse apartment, with regular care from a high-class in-home care service, but for now, Mystia is on her own. She still has hope that he will wake some day, but with every minute he stays under, the less likely that chance becomes. In the meantime, Mystia works tirelessly to study magic, hoping that one day she'll find a magic powerful enough to heal her father. She's taken up modeling as a hobby to keep her funds replenished.
