Persona: At first glance he seems confident and relaxed, as if nothing could phase or bother him, but behind his practiced smile and calm exterior lies a man that often has dark and violent thoughts about how he should go about dealing with whatever challenges life throws at him.

Bio: As with his younger sister, Becky, Samuel, or as she likes to call him, "Sammy", grew up wanting to be a hero just like their father, Shane, who was the famous Silver Sentinel. Unlike his sister, however, Samuel had always had his father's support in whatever path he chose in life, as long as he "made his father proud". Once their parents divorced, Samuel moved with his father to New Marys, and despite his father becoming nothing but a drunk burden at that point, he managed to finish high school and was able to put himself through college. It was during his college years that he'd managed to create a serum that, once ingested, would give him superpowers. The powers were temporary, but each time he'd ingested the serum he'd gain several superhuman abilities, such as flight, super strength, invulnerability, as well as being able to absorb energy attacks into his body and expel it in the form of power blasts. Once he'd created the serum, he fashioned a costume and took the mantle of Sentinel as a way of honoring the man his father was.

Once he began his crimefighting career, he quickly became one of the world's foremost heroes, respected and admired by his peers, much to the enjoyment of his father, who was proud of his son's accomplishments, a large part of him living through Samuel vicariously.

Despite all of the fame and success he'd received in his burgeoning superhero career, Samuel was both happy and encouraging to his sister Becky when she'd told him that she hd also planned to embark on the path of a hero as well, and promised to help her in any way that he was able to. The two of them stayed in close contact with one another after their separation, and each of them did their best to support one another in their endeavors.

Unfortunately, there are two sides to every coin, so to speak, and while Samuel, or Sentinel, seemed like he was a confident individual on the fast track to becoming the world's greatest hero, the man harbored a very dark and dangerous secret. The image he'd presented of himself, the confident hero was little more than an act.
He was nothing more than an addict that had gotten hooked on his own serum. If that wasn't bad enough, the fact that his serum was now failing him made matters worse. What used to last days, the serum now only lasts a few hours, and then he'd have to rush back to his lab to get his next fix.

No one knows his secret, and Samuel plans to ensure that no one will. Even if that means killing someone to protect his secret, and more importantly, his image....

Hey, posting another one of these, going to try and get all of these bios out of the way before eclipse happens, or at least the ones that I have a character design for. Anyhoo, let me know what you guys think!
