The loneliness in that howl is almost tangible. And yet, it's one of the most beautiful sounds I've heard. The choruses are gorgeous. Wolves really are amazing animals. I don't know why people kill them. I suppose it's because they are such misunderstood creatures. People make them seem like they're evil, or bloodthirsty. Really, they can be quite gentle. They only attack when threatened or hungry and desperate for food. Even then they wouldn't normally attack people. People also like their fur. I think that's the main reason for their slaughter.

I completely agree with you. They piss me off, hunters. My dad went deer hunting once, but never shot one. He couldn't bring himself to do it. He lived in the mountains and was going with a friend to get a deer for food, but he just couldn't shoot one. He said he would have felt horrible about it.

The thing is, is I don't hate hunters that do it to actually USE the animal for food and stuff, but I cannot stand those who boast about it, and hunt basically for the killing, and just to say that they were able to kill something... that is the part that bugs me. It is kinda funny though, those very same people, could not kill anything without a gun or bow and arrow if they tried! LOL

And that's the thing about hunters that pisses me off. Now, if you're doing it for food, and you're going to use as much of that animal's body as you can, then ok. But like you said, if they're doing it just to say they can...It's just wrong. It's disgusting.

I agree! It's just awful. I half wish that those people could be put in the same situation, and then see how they like it. To kill for sport is just wrong. Have you read the short story "The Most Dangerous Game" ? It really illustrates that concept. GREAT SCARY STORY TOO XD
