Description Ok so I was scrolling through some old art folders and found this little...uh..."gem".

This was the first digital painting I had ever done and it was with my trusty mouse, I guess even back then I was obsessed with orange to blue, hehe.

From what I can remember this is the resolution I painted it in, a whole 963 x 603... pretty impressive i know haha.

I spent so long on this when I first painted it and I was so proud that I took it around on my phone to show people my "masterpiece"

But when I look at the now I cringe so unbelievably hard that it was difficult for me to even share this haha.

Well I guess enjoy (if you can)

Looks nice, actually
It's not perfect (although, who am I to judge that) but it's definitely not cringe-worthy, that's for sure

You think it does? I'm pretty surprised this has had the reception it had because I just cringe when I look at it XD

naw it's simple, not over amounts of sensory data from an overly complicated image.
Because sometimes the simplest pictures can be the best

One thing i've learned from people is that it's not about the minor details anyway, the entire thing could look like individual brushstrokes, as long as the whole looks right

It's like..., thumbnail sketching, i guess
If you zoom out it could totally be a photograph, and that kind of good composition and color choice are really much more important that having fine details

If i'd made that i'd totally share it, it's only natural

Are you cringing about the reflection?, everything else looks perfect

Comparatively simple, but nice

The colour shift in the sky is my favourite part of the piece.

Indeed very simple!

Yeah I suppose that part isn't too bad, I think I was going for a really painterly feel when painting it.
