Description
Sometimes all it takes is a long walk to take a step back and reflect on the decisions you have made in the past. This scene depicts a area I use to visit growing up and visiting the sleeping bear dunes.

Very good work BC. I think that the most important part of the drawing you got right is the atmosphere. The autumnal scenery matches the state of mind Twilight is seeking in her stroll, with little perceived movement in the foliage but the stream flowing at a steady pace over the rocks. Not only is there a stillness in what is immediately visible, but the perceived open space beyond where the stream empties into the ocean furthers that sense of isolation. While her coat and mane are a contrast to the rest of the piece color-wise, Twilight doesn't stand out in a bad way thanks to how you shaded her.
While the overall composition is good, there were a few small details that stood out in terms of needing improvement. The first is the yellow highlights of the upper right area. On the green bush, they don't seem to conform to the shape of the plant well, and also follow lines that are easily recognized as brushstrokes. Also on the riverbank, the way you drew in the pebbles sticking out of the dirt seems a bit too regular, with all of them following one straight line rather than showing some variation due to the bends at the water's edge. Despite these trouble spots, I think this piece turned out very nicely.
