This weeks art prompt was "draw someone of a different ethnicity". Considering most artists learn to draw using themselves as a guide it gets really easy to draw characters with the same build and coloring over and over. I'll admit to being bad about accidentally whitewashing my stories as a result.

A comic idea I've been kicking around for a while features Julian, a young African American, as a main character and his family as some secondary characters. This is his sister Tonya. I haven't decided how big of a role she would play, whether it's just a one time exposition delivery or a recurring role. I did really like how her design turned out
