1.) Applejack and Troubleshoes designs! They have a bad relationship, and Applejack knows how to hold a grudge.

2.) “I’ll kick yer hide from ‘er to Ponyville!”
”Big talk for a small pony.”

Applejack and Troubleshoes meet again facing of during a Buckball game. It’s just a casual game, Ponyville vs Appleloosa again. Braeburn is out due to a broken hock, so the Appleloosa back up, Troubleshoes, is playing. Applejack thinks they have an easy win since Troubleshoes is so clumsy, but it seems like he’s gotten more sure hooved since they’d last meet. It’s a close math, but Ponyville wins by 2 points. Applejack is absolutely floored and spends a lotta time complimenting the other team for the absolutely amazing game!

3.) Troubleshoes who suggests drinks after the game. Originally, its supposed be a group thing. Both teams going out, and thats how it starts. But Applejack and Troubleshoes keep up a constant conversation that gets a little less sensical as they drink. And drink.. and drink... Maybe the night should've have ended the way it did, in a one night stand, but come morning, they both simply laughed it off. It was a nice night, all things considered.

4.) As we know, most one night stands in next gens... dont just remain to one night. Applejack ends up pregnant. She finds out two months later, when she notices a slight increase in her weight and some other worrying symptoms. Five, five entire pregnancy tests later, Applejack is found in the Apple's bathroom sobbing her heart out. She's so torn on what she should do. She understands all the options, but for her, most wouldn't work. She would not get rid of the foal, abortion and adoption were absolutely out of the question. It wasn't the Apple way. The Apples took responsibility of their mistakes and made the best of it. By the end of the night, Applejack has talked with Granny Smith about all the options. AJ was promised that, no matter what, the Apple Family had her back. With that, she bucked up the courage to travel to Appleloosa to inform Troubleshoes.

5.) The confrontation goes sour quickly. Troubleshoes can sense the stress radiating off Applejack, who's steely eyed minus a couple glimmers of tears as she stands before him. "I'm pregnant." She states, simply. "The foal is yours." And Troubleshoes nods. For a moment, Applejack thinks that, maybe, she can do this. Convince him to take full responsibility, become an Apple, etc. She's not super old fashioned when its just fun and games, their one night stand was not outside her regular way of dating. But this was no longer fun and games, this was serious and permanent. She talks and talks, on and on about her idea, her plan. He comes to live with her on the Apple Farm, they have a shotgun wedding, and he takes full responsibility like a good father and partner. It's what is right and should be done.

"Look, I'm not looking for this." He tells her, watching the anger flare in her eyes, but he continues. "Do whatever you want, but keep me out of it. It was a night of drunken fun, I didn't sign up for this sort of responsibility. I have my own life and home to maintain, I can't follow you wherever you ask. We barely know each other. I absolutely wont drop everything to marry a mare I barely known, foal or not. I don't want a family, I have no plans for one, and I'm not interested in building one with you."

The conversation descends into Applejack screaming at him, hurling insults, and Troubleshoes standing firm on his placement. Eventually, Applejack relents and leave, promising that she'll NEVER be back to ask him for ANYTHING. She'll raise their child on her own with her family, and she absolutely does not need him.

Well... one foal turns into three, and still, Applejack stays stubborn to the fact that she absolutely does not need him.
