“Keep Calm and Carry On”

Watercolor and Acrylic Ink. Not sure of the size.

Third assignment for Studio Painting class. We had to take something that was kitch and update it/make it fine art. I absolutely love the Keep Calm and Carry On image and history, but it has unfortunately become totally kitchey. So I decided to take that idea and mix it with Art Nouveau (one of my favorite movements). That’s Queen Elizabeth II During WW2.

I’m really disappointed with the text. And also this picture. :/ I'm going to take a better picture once I get a new camera next month.
