Description TALK
I plan to design the scene with a lot of natural light (so that I can use my blooming light technique to my heart desired)
After I finish the render however, I feel it look so pretending! like, too much lighting show-off, and as you may guess, that girl at the window, is sat under the sunlight for the sake of composition! (No one in right mind will sat there..., right!?) ( ̄▽ ̄)ノ

Tools:Facegen for face
DAZ Studio for human model and pose
Marvelous Designer for Clothing
Cinema4D for general modelling and rendering
Paintool SAI & Photoshop for post processing

One thing for sure is that you have taken ages and ages setting up your scenes. Very interesting settings. Well done.

Well, it is not a game! Just my practice on 3D illustrations.

haha, I know... sadly ;(( what I meant is that you should definitely get someone to collaborate with you on a game. your models are great- with some advertising you could possibly get some funds on kickstarter? just an idea though ^^'

Thank you again!!

I'm really glad for your support, really, because for some reason, my 3D work is not well-received compare to my usual 2d work.

I don't understand that! I love your 2D work, too, but I prefer your latest approach to 3d since it shows such a different view on art. It has a unique, wonderful feeling I rarely get from other artworks. I hope other people see that, too!

Are you planning on doing more 3D or both 2d and 3d?

And answering the other comment from you: Yeah it's been a long time It's been totally my fault disappearing as soon as studies or rl gets so busy that I don't have any free time to do something art-related...

Oh Congrat!!!! eh...., for freedom!!

Will you upload your Thesis's work online by the way?

I also just finished my master degree in Graphic Design too!, about 3 months ago and while I work on it, I also absent from internet for several months too!

I think 2d work is more eye-catching, (especially at the thumbnail size) , easy to consume and digest(proper for social-network ages), and I think people familiar with it (as illustration) more than 3D, which use more in games and movies. And since my 3D illustrations look like photo, I think people don't even notice it is not photo but 3D render, and skip past it(Well, can't blame them.

I'll do both 2D and 3D of course! Both have to coexisted to help each other.
2D is still my matured technique, that can materialized my thought quickly and effectively, and people seems to loves it!

But I have to say that 3D is my future. It able to to things that 2d cannot: natural & realistically depiction of light & shadow (which is my MOST favorite things), also, the workflow and assets are flexible & reusable - my ideal artform.  Though it may takes a very long time to create an art that have my personalities like in 2D.

How are you doing nowadays?

Hehe thanks

Well, I'm not sure yet. Some parts of it have been published and presented in a conference so I'm not sure about copyright and stuff if I just upload my stuff. Also, we are planning to do another journal work so I'm really not sure. Although I'd like to share it... I mean I prefer it when people can access academic works more easily.

Oh really?!?! Did you upload your work somewhere?? Congrats to you, too!!!

Your work must be STUNNING! (In case you already uploaded here, I'm very sorry for asking >w<)

Well, that is true that 2D work is just easier to watch and enjoy. But that's in general correct for art itself. Once you experiment or try out something totally new and different, people won't be following or watching me as much as if you'd do more mainstream work.

Tbh I first though they are photos, too, so I had to double check.. xD But I think that's a compliment to you, isn't it?

I'm really looking forward to the progress of your 3d work! I mean, you are already a master in 2d illustrations so I'm excited to see where your 3d works will go

I'm fine actually. Just got a job and I'm currently planning on moving, etc. But I'm quite excited and happy about everything which is good, I guess, haha! How are you? Everything fine?

i dunno... maybe she sits there so she can gaze out the window instead of paying attention in class.

Yeah, I agree about the scenery. I like gazing out of windows too.
What I mean is, she sat under direct sunligh, and the sunlight bring the heat with it too, and somehow, the sunlight in my country (Thailand) is very hot.

I used to sat there while in class around 10am and it burns!

It's some kind of character in my imagination world (which is now being slowly developed)   It can be served as philosophical meaning too, like the mannequin robot that symbol of today's people life.

Alternative answer: I just want to put some kind of 'signature' things in my work, so that people will recognize that "Oh, it's Mr.Raindrop's work!' ...something like that.

They're 3D model (DAZ Studio), which mean 3D geometry data that 3D graphic application display as girls or robot things that you mentioned..

It's quite popular, but people usually made it appears too obivious DAZ model or po*n material.. here he/she use DAZ with his/her own design set and unique japanese-overall-style.
