The cold murky light that flickered gently from the beyond the bars was the only source of light that I have ever seen. that i will ever see. The putrid smell of excretion touches my nose every once and a while making me cringe and gag.i sit there in the murky light with my back against the cold stone wall of my prison, letting the wounds heal so I am strong if they come again. The rags of what once was clothes stick to my body with dry crumbly blood. The new lacerations across my stomach and back are deeper than the other hundred or so that cover every inch of my being. inside and out. they're growing bored. they do this before they can think of another type of way to torture me to bring out rawer screams... purer screams.
There's a clanking of foot steps and a figure arrives at the cell, looks in. Then spits in my direction the little globdule of phlem spirals through the air and lands on my mangled foot sinking through the cracks between my toes and pooling on the floor, glisening like stars with every flicker of candle light. I look up at the man my long curtains of black hair obscuring my vison and smile... my lips crack at the action and i quickly lap up the blood with my dry tongue. The man sneeres and carrys on walking the crum of bread and the can of water walking of with him. That was not good.
I stand up my back acheing and newly healed wounds tearing with everymovement slowly i hobble towarts the cold iron bars of the door and hit. but water does not come like everyother time i do this.
i grab the bars and scream.... echos in the darkness.... the void of the living.
