Description
All of the trees that grow in the Eternal Wood are crystalline and range in colors, most of them are this tone of blue however.The Eternal Wood lies East of the Crystal Empire within the Crystal Mountains.
It functions as a kingdom due to its powerful magic, enchanted inhabitants, and large territory.
It's Sovereign is Princess Rainseed rainseed.deviantart.com/galler… and its Key Stone is the Wishing Lake, together they protect the Wood and guard the portals to the Fey Kingdom.
The portals are within the Lake's surface and within the Tree of Light, the Lake was created as a portal from the Fey Kingdom to Equestria and leaks magical power from that dimension into Equestria's.
That steady stream of magic caused the Eternal Wood to be created and up-keeps its power.
The Eternal Wood is the only place that grows Crystal Trees as they are a manifestation of the leaked magic in a form native to the land.
The Light Spell Casters, rainseed.deviantart.com/galler… , and other residents of the Fey Kingdom can enter their dimension via this tree by lighting up one of the orb in its branches.
Each orb coincides to a location in the Fey Kingdom and then the Light Lineage (swirl cutie-mark) Door opens with a burst of light.
The Wishing Lake's surface can become a portal by dropping a token (Rose) of the Royal Lineage (rose cutie-mark) into it. The surface then becomes a mirror into that dimension and can be crossed through at that point.

Actually, they originated there and were created at the same time as the Wishing Lake. When the Queen of the Fey forged a dimensional rift in-between her world and Equestria, a drop of her silver blood fell to create the lake, as that drop fell it split in to two and the second drop instead dissipated into the air-- creating the magically imbued cloud that spawned Avalon and Oblivion (the Dream-walker's and Thundarus' deities).
Avalon and Oblivion bonded to spawn Eternal (the Earth-bound tribe's deity) but Avalon's time was short-- she couldn't exist within the mortal plane long and departed to the Land of Dreams.
Oblivion remained and raised their colt, all of the Cirrai after them either exist within the dream realm or live on Earth.
Most of them live in the Eternal Woods still, but the tribes have spread across to all of the far corners of the world.
So in short-- yes but not only there
