As always, ye gods.
Just two question, though: where do the Mer tend to live? Do they have states in the same way humans do? And what's the Outer System like? Actually three, how long is your world's year?

What did you use to generate the continents? Or are they hand-drawn?

FT3 + Wilbur. I lost the original file back in 2015 so I had to trace it all to its original size.

Thank you for Pajayu & Serikahan, at least us Malays aren't completely forgotten in the grand scheme of alternate worlds.
Also, Tibetan elves sound like a nice idea.

very nice indeed! love the detail!
I'm in the process of making my own world map actually and hope to eventually get to this level of detail
Curious, how did you come up with your continent shapes? did you attempt to work out continental drift at all? (do any of your continents fit together? - there's nothing i can see as obvious as the coastlines of Sth America and Africa, but is there any?)
oh and also... through the middle of the Metharian Sea there appears to be a series of dots that run perfectly north-south and east-west (one of the north-south lines almost perfectly follows the line of Longitude). They are coloured the same as the 2nd of the 3 ocean depths...
What are they? Underwater pillars left from some ancient super-civilization?

I was actually inspired by how parts of world map feels like these many cascading smaller worlds when designing the continents. You have this east-west silk road situation from Antrecia to Entalaun (Europe to Middle East/India), the Africa-East Asia spectrum from the Bridgelands to Essia (the Elven Lands) and the super-Mediterranean thing going on in the Metharian, etc. etc. I don't want to copy chunks of RL geography beyond the Old-World/New-World layout. I just want it to feel both familiar but also weird.
Haven't given the plates much thought. Maybe I'll get to that one day.
Oh yeah the whole Metharian thing, I've yet to elaborate on that. But before everything, the Metharian was the center of the world (figuratively, obvs).

you've done really well totally picked up on the Metharian Sea being a Mediterranean analogue, and the whole familiar but different look to the continents

A fellow fan of dotted borders and TW Cent MT I see.
All joking aside, this is a fantastic map series. I don't think I've ever gotten an origin story or how you made this world in the first place, so please tell.

It's futura lmao
It's something I've been building up over time, it's more art than maps and flags. I have a couple of things that I tend to update here and there.

Fantastic map! Realistic geography, clear data, and easy-to-follow socio-politics make this one of your best maps to date. I can see this printed out and stuck on a wall-- it's very polished. Excellent work, Raja!
Do you have a place where I can get a bite-sized look at these kingdoms? I've gotta bad feeling about the Holy Covenant; other kingdoms simply pushed into their neighboring regions, but they spread far and wide. I'm curious to learn more. Also, what's the story behind the tan "neutral areas"? I'm guessing these are lesser developed regions, or politically detached from the others.

I'll get to that, I already have an idea who they're going to be (a good peek to one of them here ).

Also what the status of Cachos ? Inhabitable or dead world ?

It's magic jim, crazy stuff. Makes sand become glass in a second.
Techno-social Development is all over the place. The most best you can get is vertical farms, metal gear and this . The worst you can get is 1200's Mongolia. Space habitats are a thing, though.
Magitek tends to be a hot button issue here. If you used that over the Conditaries you're bound to get branded an evil reactionary. Other way around gets you killed for degenerate heresy.
