Description
It's everybody's favorite space dorito, Peridot!Doing some warm up sketches before resuming commissions.
During my hiatus i started Steven Universe at the suggestion of a friend and fell absolutely in love with it.
If you haven't seen it yet do so now, it's really great.
My favorite character is Peridot. I love this green nerd.

Topaz: Ooooh, Im so scared. Show me what you got and I might let you live. *pulls out a gem destabiliser*
Aqua: Quit hiding behind your useless gem tech and fight me like you did Azurite.
Topaz: YOU KNEW NOTHING ABOUT AZURITE! YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO SPEAK TO ME LIKE THAT!
Aqua: I think I have as much a right as anyone else does. It's a shame, I always liked you the best out of all Yellow Diamonds goons.
Topaz: I don't want your pity. *rushes forwards and stabs Aqua in the heart with the gem destabiliser*
//Inhales sharply and see's cooldude in the hallway.
Aqua: *whispers* Help.

Topaz: *rolls her eyes* Just stay out of our way *picks up Aquamarine's gem(s)* You're little friend here has an interesting case. When she fuses she does not become just a normal fusion. Just though you should know.
*Presses a button on her helmet and leaves the room, barreling down the hallways and jumps into her podship, disconnecting it from the ship and closing the hatch*

Topaz: Now that thats taken care of. *flys to the homeworld ship and connects to one of the ports* Gosh its good to be back. *picks up Aqua's gem(s) and walks into the ship*

*Makes it to home world* so many gems in one place. *Get claymore and looks at it* i will save her. *Activates cloaking devise and gets close to the ship and jump on top of it* this is it *cuts a small hole in it and jump in*

*Two guards (gems) take cooldude's claymore after knocking him to the floor and forcing his arms behind his back.*

Topaz: Of course your majesty. *Takes Aquamarine's gem out of the felt bag tied to her belt.* It's quite convenient that she was already fused when I found her.
Yellow Diamond: Yes yes, Aqua dear, come out.
//Aqua's gem begins to glow and she regenerates wearing a short, sleeveless dress and bows.
Aquamarine: Mother.

*guards place a cloth over cooldude's nose and mouth and he slumps forwards.*
Topaz: Your Highness, is there anything I could be of service for?
Yellow Diamond: Leave me and Aquamarine to... talk.
Topaz: As you wish your highness, but what of the intruder?
Yellow Diamond: Throw him in the dungeons. When he wakes up interrogate him for any knowledge of the item.
Topaz: *bows and exits the room*
Aquamarine: That was hardly necessary Auntie Yellow Diamond.
Yellow Diamond: It was hardly necessary to pretend to be my daughter and not my niece.
Aquamarine: It was better than telling him the truth.
Yellow Diamond: The truth is a dangerous thing, although telling lies is also dangerous. Be careful what you tell others.
Aquamarine: *hangs her head* Yes Auntie

Aquamarine: *stiffens and her eyes widen and starts to stutter* th-there has been no recent discovery of the item*
Yellow Diamond: *sighs* It's a shame Aqua, you're a very smart child but I'm afraid you need to work on your persuasive skills. *snaps her fingers* see Princess Aquamarine to her rooms please *narrows her eyes* and have at least two guards outside her doors at all times.
//rises and leaves the throne room, two guards flanking her
//walks down the familiar passageways of the ship and enters her chambers
guard: we'll be arriving on homeworld in a few hours. Her Majesty wishes you a well rest.
Aquamarine: Thank you.
//Aquamarine smiles and watches the guard close the door behind her before breaking down.

//After practically crying her eyes out, Aqua stands up and dries her eyes when a hard knock came from the door
Aquamarine: One minute!
//Quickly, she changes her short dress into her usual attire. A long flowing gown, beaded with gems and her hair piled on top of her head in a swirl, beaded with jewels and a small silver and crystal tiara resting nicely on her head. Two years ago she had tried to flee from homeworld. To leave her life as a royal to help the well being of others on earth, but it had all been for nothing. She had left, telling her Aunt Yellow Diamond that she was looking for an object that could help them in their gem fusion research on earth but was found out two months later for Yellow Diamond had found out her intentions. Her life as a princess on homeworld was very dull. She rarely got to do interesting stuff and had classes everyday for about two hours. She shivered at the memory of when her teacher, Miss Howlite, had made her dance. She despised dancing, even fusion dancing which is why she made sure that she barely unfused, and when she did it was by accident. She had been born a fusion. A anomaly that most gems on homeworld thought go as a curse. Casting the thought aside, she smoothed out her dress and opened the door to find herself face to face with her cousin, Azurite.
Aquamarine: Oh, hello Azurite. I hadn't known that you were on the ship.
Azurite: Yeah yeah, enough small talk you just got here blah blah blah. Let me in.
//She quickly stepped aside to let Azurite into her room. Only now had she noticed how spacious her room was. Inside was it's own private bathroom and a connecting bedroom which led to the living room which they were standing in now.
Azurite: *snorts* of course, even after you fled they still give you the master suite.
Aquamarine: Surely you didn't come here just to pick fights about how big our rooms are, if it makes your feel better I can switch with you.
Azurite: You're right, we have more pressing matters to uphold, although Im going to keep you on your word about switching rooms.
Aquamarine: So, what did you want to talk about.
Azurite: First of all, WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING!!! MOTHER WOULD'VE SKINNED YOU ALIVE HAD YOU NOT BEEN INTERRUPTED BY THAT HUMAN NITWIT!!!
Aquamarine: You were there?
Azurite: OF COURSE I WAS THERE! YOU THINK I WOULD'NT BE THERE?!
Aquamarine: I thought you hated me.
Azurite: I never hated you, silly. I was-It's just that I was under a lot of pressure back then. It's been two years and it's gotten so lonely here. After you left I got the nerve to ask mother to cut on some of the lessons. Ever since I've been wanting to tell you I was sorry.
Aquamarine: You should've told me, I would've understood.
Azurite: Okay, well. Now that you've gotten yourself into a ditch seven million feet under I want to help you.
Aquamarine: You... want to help me?
Azurite: Yea, I know it sound far fetched but Im sick of sitting on my ass and doing nothing. Besides, Diamond is still expecting you to take the throne after she's gone.
Aquamarine: *tenses* You know how much I don't want to do that.
Azurite: Some here, Mom's expecting me to take her place as military officer. I mean-sure it sounds cool but I don't want to be responsible for all the dirty work done for homeworld, and besides she's retiring next year!
Aquamarine: So soon?!
Azurite: Yeah, I thought she was mad! Back to the topic, how do you feel about busting your earth turd outta prison?

//Aquamarine and Azurite talked for hours about how to get past security and when they were interrupted by announcements about how much longer it was until they reached homeworld they quickly changed topic to "girl stuff" and the guard quickly fled the room. It was only a couple minutes until the homeworld ship would land and they would be escorted to the palace where cooldude would be put in another cell, and Aqua would continue where she left off with her studies.
guard: Two minutes, please wait to be collected.
//Aqua sat there and thought to herself until the door opened and two guards that she hadn't seen before entered the room and brought her to the exit. It was time for her to face her fears.

//Aqua was escorted to her room in the palace which was conveniently close to Azurite's. She had just finished her daily classes when a bunch of guards were running down the palace corridors.

Azurite: I don't know but they're all heading to the main gates.
Aquamarine: Why would they be doing that?
Azurite: Lets go find out.

//Azurite and Aqua were watching the gates from behind a couple crates from the new shipments that had come in from the small planets that homeworld had conquered during the time she was on earth.
