A drawing reimagining Digimon as actual wildlife.
So imagine if, in order for a new Digimon to be born, you needed level Champion (or higher) Digimons to exchange their data and thus create a new code aka a new digimon... idk, I am weak for family dynamics and to me, Greymons always seemed like they could be Agumons' parents 😂I just wanted to draw something cute, and I totally forgot Koromon and Botamon :'D ✨
*PSA: stop pointing out that it should have been Koromon/Botamon as the young ones. I know that "technically" they are the "baby" phase of the Agumon evolutionary line, but they don't look like dinosaurs, and I prefer Agumon. End of the discussion.*

AAAAAAH, love it, I have an idea! Koromon and Botamon live inside the egg when their parents are near, and the parents can decide when the egg hatches for protection of their cub! Love this so much

Hey, that's actually a pretty neat headcanon/theory! *w* and it's a nice way of also including the "baby" levels of the evolutionary line!

Now that I think about it, it could also answer the question of why, in the series, the eggs need to be rubbed and such (that scene when T.K had to rub one to make it hatch in Digibaby boom) because in their natural state, the parents would nuzzle and lick the eggs until they hatched, that way they can protect their nest better and decide at what level their cub should come out depending on their circumstances, avoiding possible and unnecessary deaths of cubs (where said cub would go back to being an egg, but re-spawn in Primary town) and in Primary town Elecmon makes them hatch earlier, because that way they can gather in similar groups and travel around the land in hopes of digivolving, groups that, as they evolve, separate in smaller families that in turn become wild digimon in search of their old homes or in search of reproducing and raising their own cubs. D=
This could even be seen as something natural that was disturbed when Devimon appeared

De hecho cuando hice este dibujo, ni me acordaba que había un nivel inferior al de Koromon, y olvidé por completo la existencia de Botamon 
Dices en la serie? :0 yo no me acuerdo, pero también hace mucho que no veo las series así que no sé con cuanto rigor tratan las lineas evolutivas

En Digimon Adventure no que yo recuerde pero en Digimon 02 por ejemplo los digimon protagonistas "nacen" como niños directamente, aunque no recuerdo si se explica si es que nacen o estaban encerrados con los Digi-huevos. En digimos Tamers si se da a entender que Guilmon nace directamente como niño, en frontier nace tambien directamente un patamon de un huevo (Aunque se da a entender que es debido al poder de su interior blablabla además luego se ve nacer a varios digimon bebés xD) y en Savers si no recuerdo mal nace directamente un Koromon en vez de un Botamon. Creo que en algun manga y videojuego tambien pasa y como en digimon todo es canónico estás respaldada por varios sitios XD
