My little tribute to end of S1 of The Lion Guard
I really liked this tv series, and although there were some mistakes, plotholes and is nowhere as mature and deep as the original film, it’s still pretty good in my opinion.
The final episode had most of the characters singing “Hakuna Matata” and man... It’s not even among my fav TLK songs but it was really nice to hear it again, so many feelings and childhood memories... And just for that, it was worth it, thanks TLG ♥

I have to admit i was sceptical at first too, as it is a disney junior show, but I really love it now x3 altough I do see it as an AU due all the plotholes

I may be adult now and this show may be for little kids, but I have to admit that it is very enjoyable when you really watch it close enough. Hakuna Matata really brought back great memories for me. I just wish other people felt the same way and just tried to enjoy it instead of criticizing every other detail, but I guess we'll see

When the first pic of Kion was released, I was incredibly skeptical and I used to told myself not to have high hopes since it was a tv show aimed at pre-schoolers.
I was so, so wrong.
The show might be aimed at little kids, but they put a lot of effort in making us -older fans- happy aswell. Including Kiara from the sequel, the backstory of the Guard featuring Scar, Nala's dad being finally mentioned, etc... Hell, even Kovu, Vitani and Nuka will appear in one episode because the (older) fans asked for it!
People should keep in mind that TLG's original target probably haven't seen TLK nor TLK2 yet, they don't care about the plotholes nor the references to both movies, and yet the staff behind TLG is making a great effort into making us happy too, so I think people should really chill about this cartoon and try to enjoy it.

this is cute~ and yeah, there's still 10 or 12 episodes left (depending on if they count RotR as an episode or not). A lot of people threw around the number 24 for episodes for a while but Diamond White and Dusan Brown (Fuli and Beshte) posted on instagram that they "just finished season 1 episode 26 of the Lion guard" so we've still got a while to go plus they've already confirmed season 2.

Well Wikipedia is the main source but here's his Instagram account. It's a video so You'd have to look it up yourself to hear the two of them talking about season 1 but he does have ep. 26 down below.
Plus kovu, Nuka, and Vitani were confirmed to appear in season 1 as well so it's not over until they show up at the very least.

Well, there was a PC game based on Simba's Pride back in 1998 that had an animated intro that suggests that Kovu and Kiara did meet "often" when they were cubs. In said intro, they are trying to leave Pumba and Timon behind (just like Simba and Nala did with Zazu in TLK) and go to the secret Waterfall.

The interesting thing about it is that Timon and Pumba are looking for both Kiara AND Kovu, aka they act as the babysitters for both cubs. Even Timon mentions that if they don't find the cubs, Simba will be mad at them, thus implying that Simba is aware of Kovu sneaking into the Pridelands?
(Of course this animation was done just for the game and it probably doesnt take into account TLK2's plot except for Kiara's and Kovu's friendship as cubs, but I always found it interesting

Well, if you read the other comments here, another user even posted a pic of Beshte's voice actor on Instragram confirming they had just finished recording the dialogue of TLG's 26th episode from the 1S, plus in March it was already confirmed a second season for the show!
