Description
Just a fanart of The Lion King inspired by the song "When you Believe" from the film The Prince of Egypt.During Scar's reign, all the lioness began to lose the faith that Scar could became a better king, and with the devastation of the Pridelands, all the lionesses were decided to left the Pridelands to look for a new land full of food and water, but Nala and Sarabi told them that there's still hope, so they must stay in Pridelands and wait for the miracle.
At this moment, Nala doesn't know Simba's still alive, but she firmly believes someone will help them in those hard times.

Does that mean that the battle at Pride Rock has "The Battle" from Gladiator as background music?

Thank you so much!
And not only "WYB", but "Deliver Us" fits perfectly during Scar's reign as a song sung by Sarabi too xD Well, Simba's story was also inspired by Moses', so it makes sense
Oh please, comment as much as you want, I love to get and reply to comments!

Gosh,I swear, you must be reading my thoughts or something XDI've always thought that!!!Since I was like 6 years old(and obsessed with both TLK and The Prince of Egypt).I loved singing the songs of The Prince of Egypt while thinking about TLK.BTW,is it true that Simba's story was inspired by Moses'?I didn't know that.

Yep. As Simba was exiled from his homeland, Dinsey's crew got inspiration by Moses' story and of course Hamlet. I think there were more, but I can't remember now

Of course!
What I really enjoyed about the work, is the positive use of role models (Sarabi and Nala); to encourage their fellow pride members to 'keep the faith' -- despite their shared hardships!
A very inspirational work, indeed!!
Keep up the good work!

Since the story from The Lion King is based in Moses, I think the song (and almost every song from the movie) could match the TLK universe.
At first I thought about using Sarabi and Sarafina (because I think they're best friends) but later I came up with the idea of Nala; if she ran away from the Pridelands was because she wanted to help her pride, and because he never gave up about Scar's being topple.

You're right; TLK is based (loosely, in some scenes) on the story of Moses! Also, the historical Joseph (Vizier of Egypt, and ancestor to Moses and his people) and Shakespeare's Hamlet.
(Personally, if anyone wants to study ancient prophets -- and other great men and women of the past -- the best way to learn about them, is via studying their secular histories! That way, it's not just a case of sugar-coating, or else simple religious fervour -- and myth! )
Ah yes; I remember seeing a similar scene; on the stage (The Lion King -- The Broadway Spectacular): Nala going AWOL from the pride lands, in order to find someone to kick Scar's butt! (Man, those lionesses must have HATED him, in order to seek help!)
Fortunately, thanks to her love and courage -- also, the wise (yet also crazy) Rafiki -- Nala returned home, with the much-needed 'help' (Simba).
