Description Balefire Liege

Magic the Gathering; Eventide. Β©Wizards of the Coast

Acrylic, Approx 11" x 7.5".

Original artwork for sale; UKΒ£350.

The restless spirit scours the land searching for another victim to consume within its baleful fire.

I chose a warm red palette to echo, and reinforce, the spectral flames of the spirit. To pull the focus onto the beastie I use the lightest values on him, whilst placing the darkest around him on the rocks. This gives a strong contrast with each other, and against the mid range background.

Yeah - we had a great party. It's funny how quickly the time has gone, and how much Leo has grown!

That's what I was saying to Anne. Its amazing how quickly the year has gone!! I still remember Leo's first photo's and how tiny he looked compaired to how much he has grown now. He is just the sweetest and smiley little chap!! He definitly takes after his parents!

He is definitely very good natured, and smiley, but how he will cope on a transatlantic flight is going to be a challenge

I love the hands on this. The whole thing is masterful (as your work always is), but those hands are just perfect.

A nice detail to pick up on - I tried to push the inhuman quality, and wanted it to be recahing out for a victim...

Thanks
