"Friends are mere stepping stones when plans are hatched..."
I wanted to try and capture the sense of devious malevolence that is clearly redolent in this Troll. To do that I opted for strong directional lighting. This would mean dark shadows to aid the mood, and by choosing the green light I am visualling signalling that something less than good is at hand.
The closer crop on the figure, and static, almost profile, form further helps give the sense of a quiet, composed, moment as the cogs begin to whirr!

Lovely warcraft art. It really portrays the overall Hex-voodoo-cocky-mean-awesome character of the trolls.

Drakuru! I helped you, you troll! What do I get in return?! I get you siding with the Lich King and a new found love for trolls. Curse you T_T
Love the piece; as soon as I saw it I was thinking, 'why does this remind me of when I was helping Drakuru and he betrayed the crud out of me?!' Love this troll though, the image worked AMAZINGLY well in instantly putting him in mind.

You know it! But I see one thing about him that bugs me... Are his eyes bloodshot, or is that natural?

I must say, this is absolutly beautiful.
I first saw this picture on the page for Drakuru(one of my favorite characters in the game) and I always wanted to get a closer look at it.
Amazing details, and he makes mohawks look gooood.
Dis foo' never be pitied.

Why I like your work - besides the obvious artistic skill, of course - is that there is a meaning behind it.
A lot of pictures go like 'Troll rogue' and then you see a troll rogue standing. Not that they look bad, in fact they are a whole lot more than what I'd ever dare to dream of to create, but they somehow feel empty to me, just standing there in their tier-dunnowhat set.
Unlike this trolly here. Despite of the lack of action in the picture I can technically imagine a story around it all, what could lead to this moment, and what would the outcome perhaps be. And THAT is something quite rare.
Probably a bit late for this babble now, but it took some more drawings for me to realize the difference.

What I really like is the expression of his face. Also the colors. You use cool colors to give him more of his personality and it works so well. The lighting on this piece helps capture the fact he is going to betray someone. Powerful piece

Spotless execution. It stands completely on it's own without the title.
