'None knew the reason for his silent vigil, and nor would any dare approach to break the silent solitude...'
This is the third painting I have just created in the 'Wildborn' series. This had so many classic elements that I wanted to tackle, sunset, seashore, and Dragon. The mix of textures, from glass-like water, through fluffy cloud to striated sand made for a fun challenge.

I assume the original of this fantastic painting had been sold long ago.
If not, it would be fantastic if you could tell me the price.
In any case, one of my favorite dragon paintings. And I'm always coming back again, to look at it again.

Out of this world Ralph. It sends me into dreams, and I love the feel of the sunset also. Great picture

I like it, especially the sand, but I feel that the horizon approaches too soon. Something about the depth of the horizon just seems odd to me, to say it differently. Hope you don't mind the critique.

Oh nice. I like it. Subtle. A nice change from things rushing at you swinging broadswords and the like.

You really broght the water to life with how you made it shine and ripple and such, the mud near the botom picture is fantastically realistic with how you made it look with the water rushing over it. I also love how you made the sky a bright blue and really brought out the beautiful morning colors, contrasted that with dark blue and purple clouds and then made it all pop out with the gold in the sky as well, while also keeping the sky so smoothly done and feeling so perfectly balanced. The dragon is well, perfect. It is simply placed yet designed very indepth with its form and details of such a beautiful green, and such an elegant and strong poise!!! I'm running out of words and complements to review such great work.

This really reminds me of when I was at Pyramid Lake. Where is the landscape based on?

The landscape is an amalgam of different reference photos - so no one place.
