Description
I commissioned to make this lovely illustration based on the prologue of my comic, "Remembered Alive." She originally put it in HER gallery as a sort of "free advertising" for me, but she insisted that I put it in mine because she no longer considers it her piece anymore, since I paid her to make it.

She was also the first person I wanted to make my comic, but she got too busy to do it, but I'm thrilled that she would go out of her way to honor it anyway.

This is the part where Yen Sid writes a prayer/journal entry about this significant date in Disney's history. He's taking the flashback at the bottom of the page and transferring it on paper to remember in the future. Mickey is facing Walt Disney's corpse on the day he died at St. Joseph's hospital.

December 15th, 1966

Today, the world has lost one of the most beloved figures of all time. A genius in innovation; a strong-hearted leader; a devoted father; and perhaps the most famous of roles, the omniscience of our own world. Walter Elias Disney.

He has inspired all mankind in ways no one could have imagined, and leaves behind a glorious legacy to be honored forever. For now, no one else dares to set foot in that same spotlight that was once his, especially not Mickey Mouse. As a master and teacher, I've taken it upon myself to watch over the grief-stricken lad, my heart aching alongside his. We shall both miss the man always.

Now it seems Walt's young heir shall live up to his creator's legacy, after much time for recovery has passed. I personally wish for nothing more than the safety and well-being of all the Disney family. May their leader's love and memory forever keep him alive in our hearts.
