Description
ScorpionThis is a 3-D wood puzzle that I designed. It is 12" tall
16" long and 11" wide and is made of Baltic Birch plywood. Like the Alien Warrior, it is made with interlocking wood pieces and there is no glue holding it together. I downloaded about a dozen pictures of scorpions and studied them for several days before creating the design. These 3-D wood pieces have been a passion of mine for almost 10 years, starting with creatures I've made for Halloween. I have several others in the works, including a Great Horned Owl.

Hey JenuoneArt,
Thanks so much for writing again. I am on a bit of a roll with these 3D pieces. It is very gratifying to be able to take a photograph or a piece of art and turn it into a 3D model. I had a hard time going to sleep last night because I just got finished with a "cute" Unicorn and I had all these other projects running through my head, but I did figure out how to do the T-Rex, the owl and a Red Eyed Tree Frog (holding onto a branch). Also, my daughter wants me to make a Klingon Bird of Prey (my favorite Star Trek ship)and started working on that one while trying to get to sleep, 2am came fast. Talk to you later, Don P.S. Your the only one I give all this extra info to.

Yay! I feel special! I told my hubby about how you were inspired by those dinosaur cutout puzzles. He also remembered those, and has some somewhere. I know I loved them. He also thought it was really neat you had them out for halloween. Now you need to do Santa!! Oooooo. Reindeer!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Woodnutiam,
Thank you for your comment. I am planning on selling the plans to my 3D pieces, but I have a few things to work out first. mainly, I have to figure out what to charge for them. Talk to you later, Don
