13 1/2" X 19"Β This is a commission piece to be given as a birthday present.Β This is made from a 3/4" pine board painted to look like a stone tablet. I have always like Swampy and really enjoyed making this piece.Related content

Thanks for writing, really glad you like it.Β When Colton 1st contacted me I was trying to figure out what to make.Β When I was looking through pictures online I found this piece with Swampy as a Green Man.Β When Colton told me you like Alan Moore art, I knew I had to do the Green Man.Β I had to change Moore's art to make it look more aggressive.Β This piece was a real challenge and really enjoyed putting it together.Β Don

It is really striking, you did a fantastic job. I've always found Alan Moore Swamp Thing to be the most affecting for me. Swamps are odd in the way that they embrace death while simultaneously harboring new life. I've always thought it was the perfect environment for a horror comic to take place in and Alan Moore leaves no stone unturned. He's so good at bringing the underlying philosophy out of every concept. The image you used as inspiration I believe was John Totleben and to me, he's always captured what Swamp Thing should be.

Thanks for you comment.Β This one was a challenge, so many leaves that they start blending together.Β It took a while to figure out how to paint it where things were separated so you can see it all.Β It was a last minute decision to paint the eyes red, cause the first thought was to paint them green like the original Alan Moore art I was basing it on...but Swampy has red eyes.Β I love the way it turned out, delivered it this morning.
