Description
Sabien is now retired from DotW. I had a lot of plans for her that just didn't end up panning out. She may very well pop up elsewhere in some other capacity, or maybe even come back here if the time is ever right. I do really love this character, so she'll be back one way or another.

Build: Tall for a female, with thick, well-muscled legs. Her coat is usually very short but fairly thick, becoming a little fluffier in the deep of winter. Her body and how she carries it is sleek and fluid, and for the most part is well filled out. The bones can sometimes be seen in her shoulders and hindquarters when hunting is poor.
Scars: The scars on her face were inflicted by Silvanus, and the ones on her flank by Ira in a past altercation.

Territory: Loner, her personal territory slightly intersecting with the outskirts of the Blutwald territory, but she sometimes wanders as far as Chandor or Kausen.
Family: None So Far

Ira (Havir, played by Wynbird): She absolutely loathes Ira, and simultaneously respects her skills as a fighter and fellow female. She hopes to get back at her someday.
Silvanus (Havir, played by Me): The powder puff took a chunk out of her face, she hadn't seen that coming. She wants to repay the favor, but perceived him more as Ira's backup.
Ivy (Snake, played by fairytalekitty) Both loners in the same rough span of territory in a wolf-dominated landscape, the two have become friends and allies.

Personality:
Concerning Wolves: Sabien, as far as wolves are concerned, is a complete wildcard. Unlike most cougars, she is not a guaranteed enemy of every wolf she meets. Having spent more of her life around wolves that with other cougars, she is as capable of befriending as she is of ripping their faces off. In this way, her relationship with wolves is very individual. Being a social animal born to a solitary species, she takes great interest in the politics and doings of wolves, and will often meddle where it will benefit or amuse her. Depending on the wolf, she may think of them as equals, friends, enemies, or simply play things. Wolves that know her can almost be lulled into the false sense that she's just like them, but in reality, she's still a cat- something canines just cannot fully comprehend. She almost wishes she was a wolf sometimes, jealous of their deep family and interpersonal connections, but she always succumbs to her own nature in the end, eventually withdrawing into the wilderness. It's something she battles with a little.

In general: She is extremely proud, and does not react kindly to her dignity being tarnished. She has a quicker, more volatile temper than most wolves are probably used to, but can just as quickly smooth it all over and become as complacent as a kitten. All the while, there seems to be a second train of thought going on behind her yellow-green eyes, she always seems to be withholding some of her thoughts while managing to be extremely loquacious. If not flying off the handle, she is usually in an extremely jovial, personable mood, with a healthy, if not overstated sense of humor. She is not at all shy in a situation where she is comfortable, but will approach new situations with a typical, cougar-like caution. She does not play well with other cougars and wildcats that encroach on her territory, but doesn't treat wolves with the same instant hostility, instead treating them with the same reaction they give her. If you have her as a friend, she is a powerful ally, willing to fight, and able to give wolves a unique, non-wolf perspective with her advice. If you have her as an enemy, prepare for all the coldness of the deepest Havir winter, and all the screaming heat of a summer wildfire. She holds grudges forever, and diligently plots revenge for wrongdoing, but oddly enough- will forgive such grudges if an understanding is met. She is generally amoral, not caring much for concepts of good or evil, instead she's simply her own force of nature.

In short: She has a personality befitting a feline, but may come across as mercurial and unpredictable to a canine. She can be a close friend or terrible enemy to wolves, and sometimes wishes she could live the life of a wolf more than she does.

Pre-Group History:
She was born with no surviving siblings (subject to change), and orphaned early in life, so she has known wolves for longer than she has known other mountain lions. That being said, she largely remains true to her instincts and lives alone in a cave that she loves and guards fiercely west of the Blutwald territory. For the most part, wolf packs will drive her away on site, for good reason, her being a dangerous member of another species. This has led to a little bitterness toward wolf packs on her part, but she often finds and gets along fairly well with the odd solitary wolf or small group she may come across. In some areas, she has gained a reputation as a cougar who will interact with and sometimes help wolves, making her an almost sphinx-like figure, where wolves will come to her when they need something. She doesn't usually mind this, depending on the wolf, it makes her life interesting. When she was younger, she had brief, confused romantic feelings for a male wolf who was also a juvenile, which didn't end well. She is extremely sensitive on the subject and will not talk about it.

While she does have an established territory west of Blutwald, slightly intersecting, she does wander. She lives with a need for constant stimulation, and will go where the action is. Most recently, she intruded upon Havir territory, where she was tracked down and attacked by Ira and Silvanus, who gave her the scars she bares, and drove her out of the territory. It would usually take more than two wolves to beat her so completely, but they had caught her by surprise, and she had be physically weakened by her long journey. That is a grudge she will hold coldly.
