I don't know if any of you remember !Pumpkintroll , but they decided to deactivate a while back. Before they left, they gave me permission to reup their stamps. Stamps have their original titles.

Agree! Some people here treat this site as photobucket or facebook. And of course stuff like recolored cartoon characters or using bases.

Some base-edits are good, but the 20-second paintbrush-tool edits are worse than recolours.

In my opinion stamps can be art, just as artist as pixel art if anything. I mean, some of them aren't of course... but like word art and stuff, (just big inspirational text on a simple background) that's on every art website.

You know what's REALLY not ART? Taking line art of pre-existing characters (Disney, Sailor Moon, etc) and simply recoloring the character and slapping the name of your OC on it. I can't tell you how many times I see that. It makes me seriously wanna smack someone.

I know this one person on here that only uses bases and she blocked me.
All her friends said that she is a great artist and that she is very creative even though she only uses the fill tool on MS Paint to color bases. Major facepalm. She also banned me from her chat just cause I joined it by accidentally clicking a link she posted. I didn't even get to say "Oops, sorry." or anything, just a quick kick and ban immediately.

If someone took the time to bring an idea to life by drawing it, then I say that's art.
But not everything on dA is like this, most of the stuff uploaded are motivational posters and recolored screenshots :L

yeah a lot of the stuff is. :/ that is the sad part about it. oh not to mention screen caps of other people's comments. they even have groups dedicated to it. some of the screen caps like that goes against the rules because it also contains a shot of the person's artwork.
