Description
Well, have fun reading this suckers. Because its long. Really long. You would not believe how incredibly, mind blowingly long it is.My hands HURT.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Seriously now, I made a colouring tutorial because of a suggestion by =sleeping-banana .
She suggested one AGES ago but I've been too lazy to do one, plus I haven't been confident enough in my skills as a colourer-inerror as well.
As I say in the tutorial, If you need anything explained, or find any mistakes or something just doesn't make any sense at all, please tell me!!! I would prefer to know.
Sorry about the massive file. I should have done it in two parts but I'm LAZY!!!
happy happy happy happy happy happy happy happy!!!
My dog just fell in the pool! Hes so WET!!!
I don't care though because I dont have to bath him now!!!

Okay, the only thing I don't get is why do you put down purple underneath the hair? o.o And also how do you get the hair looking so shiny???
Technically that's TWO things I don't get but...

Haha, I like to put purple (or any colour for that matter) down under the hair because it adds a realism to it. If you take notice of the world around you nothing is ever consistantly one colour. It changes with the light and the colour of things that light reflects off.
A really good way to understand this is to get a bright coloured piece of paper (I find yellow works really well) go outside on a sunny day and hold your hand a few centimeters over it. The light reflecting off the paper onto the underside of your hand is yellow, like the paper.
The way to get the hair really shiny is to not colour over the whole of the hair. Leave the area the light hits strongest white, and then it will look super shiny! Also if you put darker tones where the light DOESN'T hit, it adds more value. (Value by the way is shadows and highlights and stuff)
I hope that helps

I'm going to use this tutorial to actually get over my fear of colouring drawings! Which will result in me uploading a crap load of line art that's been rotting in my desk for the past few years!
all thanks to you.
btw, I can't help myself... 'Because its long. Really long. You would not believe how incredibly, mind blowingly long it is.'
that's what she said...
