Hee hee! Well, up north I did other things that I can't do down here. I miss those other things.......
However, there is one place in Florida that my husband and I finally found that we liked! For our anniversary August 12th (celebrating our 12th year) we went to Naples, FL to sit and do absolutely nothing. It was so nice! We loved it there, and it was actually beautiful there too!

Well, that sounds nice! I hate to admit it, but I've never been anywhere in Florida I've really enjoyed. I guess I'm not much of a "beach" person. Pepper likes Sanibel. Never been there, myself. Where's Naples? I don't think I'm familiar with it.

I've not been on Sanibel yet. We nearly went there instead of Naples, but I'm so glad we didn't. Naples is near the bottom tip of Florida on the gulf coast. It is about 20 miles south of Fort Meyers. It's a 3 hour drive south from where I live in St. Petersburg. The everglades start just outside the town of Naples, and then you get to Key West.
I wasn't much of a beach person either.....I suppose I'm still not really, but it's what it here. I have learned to enjoy the absolute nothingness of the beach. It is so relaxing after awhile. Nothing much the sound of the waves and the sight of the blue-green waters. It's calming after awhile. The only thing missing when I go to the beach is the water bringing me a margarita with a little umbrella in it!

It really is a nice place. Very tropical. I should post some pics of the place in my scraps some time. Our main computer died though. Major problems. Paul is fixing it. When he's done getting it fixed I'll do that for you.

Oh, I'd love to see them. One day we'll have to get down there; Pepper works too much without a break - I think we really ought to take more vacation tme and make my mother mind the gallery. And the pets.
