Description
Showcasing the difference between the rufus group (represented by a spotted imp), where the males develop reddish-brown patches and the umbra group (striped imp), which has darkened males. The sexual dimorphism in the species outside those two groups is much lower to absent. Also, lazy me used one of my photos as a background.

Are they all sentient? Can they all interbreed?

Imps (along with goblins and kikimoras) are all classified as sapient among the goblinoids, but have non-sapient but still pretty intelligent relatives (like wyverns). Interbreeding with fertile offspring is only possible among subspecies, with some separate but closely-related species able to produce sterile hybrids.

The kikimoras in our mythology are a type of Slavic house spirit, usually depicted as the wives of domovoi or lesnik. In this setting, they are a species of goblinoid that is restricted to the forests of one large mountain range. They are closer related to goblins but are proportioned more like imps, have a forked tail fan and weakly poisonous saliva.

1-1,2 m height for the right one's species, the left one is a bit smaller. More stats here: ramul.deviantart.com/art/A-bas…

The use of a photo as background is genius, it really comes alive that way - it drags the foreground with it into a more realistic illusion. I thought you'd blurred a drawn background at first.
My only remark would be that the leaves of the foreground don't match the background in hue, which slightly breaks the illusion. But the imps are so well detailed that it doesn't really affect them. Detailing is still improving with every new picture~

I wouldn't be able to make a background that good (yet?), even if it's blurred.
Well, I can pretend the drawn tree is of a different species, as the photo trees are beeches. But lemme see if I can pretty the leaves up a little.

Yet, definitely yet, seeing how your detailing and perspective have improved over time.

Unless I get run over before I get the chance to improve, you never know.

Look both ways before crossing, and stay positive.

Looks like a Yi-Qi, a wolf, a hawk, and a monkey had a very interesting baby. Also awesome work!

It's actually more a mixture of crows, sparrows, monkeys, cats and squirrels, but yes, it was quite an orgy that led to these.

It was more figurative, referring to the mentioned umbra group.
