Description
Turin's saga, one of my favourites by J.R.R. Tolkien. This picture is about Turin's fate, not his death: hero's fate was to defeat Glaurung, father of every dragon, but not only. In the background a girl is searching death falling from a cliff: Niniel or Nienor, carring her guilt and her sorrow for a crime committed and a lost love.
Turin is not dead yet, but the terrible black sword is there to announce that even this is a mere matter of time.
Above all, Morgoth, the Silmarils on his head, watch the desolation he has created with his lies, but he has a soul so dark that can't smile. Joy is something too far from him: only hunger in his heart.
E chi dice che con le matite non si possa fare un bel nero pieno Γ¨ un niubbo!!

are you shure? There's a crossover between the story of Beren and Luthien end the one with Hurin, Thurin and family. So telling that one ends before the other is quite difficult

All sources I found online (Tolkien Gateway, LotR Wikia, and regular Wikipedia) confirm my memoir that Beren and Luthien get Silmaril back in 6 years before Nirnaeth Arnoediad, after which Hurin was captured by Morgoth (what led to the beginning of the tragic history of his children).

Great concept!
After all, Turin's fate has been in the hands of Morgoth ever since he cursed HΓΊrin and his family.
I also like your version of Morgoth. He really looks evil, menacing and all.
Great artsmanship, too. Especially the perspective.

grazie!! Se non ricordo male dalla 2h alla 9b spaziandole quasi tutte con velature anche molto ripetute sulle aree piΓΉ scure. Per i dettagli una micromina hb, il resto tutto con normalissime matite.
