How to draw chibis!

If you can't read it, this is what everything says!

How to Draw: Chibis! (My style!)

In this tutorial I'll be drawing a chibi Eren as my example! But you can draw whoever you want! I'm just using him because he's a simple chibi for the example!

1. Make a circle

2. Cut a little dent out on the side, and some more if you want (I cut out more to get a more flat head like how I draw my chibis)

3. Draw the hair that's over the face (or if your character doesn't have any hair, skip this part!)

(Optional: Make some strands of hair fall. I sometimes do this just to add to the pic! CX)

Note: I almost always put a piece of hair over the cheek, you dont have to but I do it a lot just so the cheek doesnt look really strange when I finish the sketch!

4. Draw the rest of the hair (Except for the back if the ear pops out! If hair covers the ear then you can go ahead and finish it!)

(Optional: Add more strands of hair and a curl if you want)

Note: I tend to start the hair towards the back of the head and above my head base so it's easier to draw the hair coming down beside the cheek. I also tend to stop the hair at that one little part that covers the cheek (If that piece of hair isn't there, I'll stop it at the cheek if short hair, and keep it going down around the chibi's back -which is drawn later in this tutorial- if long hair!)

5: Draw the face and hair -If you haven't finished the hair already- Also, if the hair is NOT covering the ear, then draw the ear too!

(Optional: You can also add these lines in the hair to make it look a little more nice and detailed!
Another optional thing you can do is add this ear over here, I normally don't do this but you can if you want to!)

Note: I draw the inside of my ears like this, so when hair's covering it it usually ends up like this with the middle line not showing up, but you can add that line in if you want to!

6: Draw the face
There are many ways to draw the face, draw it however you want!
Since there are many different ways to draw different things on the face, I drew some things on the side for you! They are (in order) mouths (M), pupils (P), open eyes (O.E), closed eyes (C.E), and different blushies!

(Optional: You can draw the nose bump, blushies, the chin, eyelids, and the inside of the mouth if you want!)

Note: I always draw blushies, the eyelids, and at least the tongue in the mouth! -when I draw the mouth open-
I sometimes draw the chin and nose bump, but if I don't I almost always draw shading there instead of a solid line. I also always erase part of the eye if it goes into the hair -unless it's a big closed one-. but I never erase the part of the eyebrow that goes into the hair because if I do you can hardly see it, and I just like it better like this!

7: Draw the body base

To draw this you make deformed oval like shape. You can add the legs in the base if you want or just keep the oval shape (I usually don't add the legs and arms but for this tutorial I did to show you how the legs usually look and how short I make my chibis, you can make them taller or shorter if you want!)

I added some bases on the side to give you a feel of how they usually look with different poses!

8. Draw the body
Draw the body with whatever clothes you want on it!

9. Line it
Line it if you want!

10. Color it!
Finish the pic up with some color if you want to!
